I, Dave Richardson of said State and County being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all will heretofore made by me.

Item 1st

I wish my Administrator as soon as possible after my death to pay my debts if any if a sale of property be necessary I wish him to select for sale that which can be most advantageously used for that purpose and I authorize him to sell the same at public or private sale as he may see fit. It is understood that all my property is to remain mine during my life.

Item 2nd

I give to my beloved wife Anna Richardson eh following property to with – during her life Lot of land No 112 in the 3rd district of Wilcox County Georgia Containing 192 ½ acres more or less known as the home place where I now live one horse two head cows 12 head of hogs and household & Kitchen goods of all kinds and after my wifes death to my son Ned Richardson.

Item 3rd

I give to Henry Virgil one cow 10 acres of land on North side of said lot of land No. 112 in the 8th district of Wilcox Co. Ga said land to reach Sandy Rileys.

Item 4th

I give to my Grandson Tom Richardson one Steer Yearling I give to Laura Richardson one heifer yearling.

Item 5th

I give to my Grandson Dave Richardson one steer yearling

Item 6th

I give to my Grandson Virgie Richardson one steer yearling

Item 7th

I give to my son Ned Richardson one black Gernnie sow

Item 8th

I do hereby appoint my son Ned Richardson Administrator or Executor of this my Will.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this the 20th day of March 1901.

Signed and published by Dave Richardson as his last will and testament I the presents of the undersigned who subscribed our names hereto as Witnesses at the instance and request of said testator and in his presents and in the presents of each other this the 29th day of March 1901.

To the Hon J.M. Warren Ordinary of said County The petition of N.R. Richardson a resident of said state shows

 1st That David Richardson late of said County died testate on the 2nd day of May 1901 leaving valuable real and personal property in said state

2nd petitioner herewith presents the last will land testament of said deceased and shows that he is named therein as executor

3rd Your petitioner shows the following named persons are all his heirs at law of said testator to with this petitioners. Mary Lou Wright who resides in the State of Florida, Juda Parr and Waterman Parr who resides in the County of Houston State of Georgia and Henry Virgil who also resides in the state of Georgia as petitioner is informed and believes more of which of said heirs are minors.

4th Petitioner shows that on the 7th day of October 1907 H.A. Lawson was appointed Administrator on the estate of Dave Richardson.

Petitioner prays leave to prove said will in solemn form and that letters testamentary to issue to him and to that end he prays that Citation to issue to said Administrator and to said heirs at law as terms of the statute made and provided.

Order directing that Citation to issue The foregoing petition read and Considered ordered that H.A. Lawson Administrator of the estate of Dave Richardson Mary Lou Wright Juda Parr Waterman Parr and Henry Virgil to be and appear before the Court of Ordinary to be held in and for said State and County on the 1st Monday in December 1907. Let Citation issue accordingly and be served personally on Juda Parr Waterman Parr and Henry Virgil residence of said State ten days before said 1st Monday in December and let the said Mary Lou Wright a nonresident of the state of Georgia be served by publication of said Citation once a week for four weeks in the Abbeville Chronicle a newspaper published at City of Abbeville in said County of Wilcox this 4th day of Nov. 1907.

N.R. Richardson having applied as Executor for Probate in solemn form of the last will and testament of Dave Richardson of said County You H.A. Lawson as Administrator on the estate of Dave Richardson and all the heirs at law of said Dave Richardson are hereby required to be and appear at the Court of Ordinary for said County on the 1st Monday in December which said application of probate will be heard this 4th day of Nov. 1907.

In re; Probate of Will of Dave Richardson deceased in Wilcox Court of Ordinary December Term 1907.

And Now Comes Mary Lou Wright Grand daughter and one of the heirs at law of said Dave Richardson and files this her Caveat to the probate of said will and for grounds of Objection says

1st That said alledged will of Dave Richardson has been altered and interlineations made and that the said alledged will which has been propounded for probate is not the will of said Dave Richards and should not be admitted to probate and recorded as his will.

In re; Petition of H.L. Richardson for probate in solemn form of the will of Dave Richardson of said County of Wilcox Caveat Lou Wright.

The above stated petition coming on regularly to be heard and if appearing that the parties at interest – resident of this state were personally served with notice of the petition for probate at least ten days before the term of this Court – at which said notice required appearance and that the parties at interest not residing in this State were duly served by publication of Citation once a week for four weeks in the Abbeville Chronicle a newspaper published in the city of Abbeville said State and County and it appearing to the satisfaction of this Court by the testimony of all the subscribing Witnesses that he instrument offered for probate is the last will and testament of Dave Richardson as alleged by the propander in his petition and no legal and sufficient reason appearing why said will should not be admitted to record as prayed. Ordered that said will be and the same is hereby established in solemn form as the last will and testament of Dave Richardson and the same be admitted to record. Ordered further that letters of administration having heretofore been granted to H. A. Lawson that the said H.A. Lawson continue to act as administrator with the Will annexed on taking the usual oath.
