Confederate Soldiers Application-Wilcox County, Ga.-1920-L. F. Nance Served with Co. C, 7th Battalion North Carolina Reserve, Widow's Pension--Wilcox County, Ga.-1922-Mrs. R. J. Nance married to L. F. Nance in Roberson-County, N. C. on 12-27-1870. He served with Co. G, 7th N. C. Battalion. He died in Wilcox County, Ga. on 10-20-1921. Buried in the Morningside Cemetery, Rochelle, Wilcox County, Ga. Tombstone Inscription: Lewis F. Nance, CSA Co. I, 3 NC JR RES, no dates.

Pvt., Co. E, 49th Regt. Ga. Inf. March  4, 1862. Wounded at Malvern Hill, Va. July  1, 1862 . Surrendered at Appomattox, Va. April  9,1865 . Indigent Pension-Wilcox County, Ga.-1896-Lewis Nasworth Born in Wayne County, N. C. on 3-8-1830. Served with Co. E, 49th Regt. Ga. Widow's Pension-Wilcox County, Ga.-1911-Sarah Nasworth. Married to Lewis Nasworth in Wilcox County, Ga. on 3-13-1867. Wilcox County Marriage Records: Lewis Nazworth to Sarah A. Johnson 3-13-1867. He served with Co. E, 49th Regt. Ga. He died in Wilcox County, Ga. on 11-30-1908.

Buried in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Wilcox County, Ga.

NEWELL, John 1831 10-26-1864

Pvt., Co. E, 49th Regt. Ga. Inf. March  4,1862. Captured at Petersburg, Va. April  3, 1865. Released at Hart's Island, N. Y. Harbor June  15, 1865.  Widow's Pension-Wilcox County, Ga.-1891-Ellenda Newell. Married to John Newell on 11- 9-1853. Mrs. E. Newell, widow of John Newell, stated in her pension application approved in Wilcox County in 1891, that John Newell came home sick with chronic diarrhea and died October  26, 1864. Widow's Pension-Wilcox County, Ga.-1891-Ellenda Newell. Married to John Newell on 11- 9-1853. He served with Co. E, 49th Regt. Ga. Vols.

Private CO. H, 10th Regt Ga. Vol. Inf. May 20, 1861. Transferred from General Hospital # 9, at Richmond, VA to General Hospital #14, Oct. 15, 1862. Died at Fredericksburg, VA.

Indigent Pension-Wilcox County, Ga.-1904-Solomon Norris. Born on 10-11-1833. Served with Co. E, 1st Regt. Ga. Militia. Application for a Pension Due a Deceased Pensioner-1908-Wilcox County, Ga.-Mrs. E. J. Norris-Widower. Solomon Norris died in Wilcox County, Ga. on 5-11-1908. Buried in the Young Chapel Cemetery, Ben Hill County, Ga. Tombstone Inscription: Solomon Norris 10-18-1833 5-11-1908

NUNNERY, Andrew J. 1823 11-13-1882

Widow's Pension-Wilcox County, Ga.-1902-Mrs. V. L. Nunnery. Married to Andrew J. Nunnery in Talbot County, Ga. in 1853. He was born in Talbot County, Ga. in 1823.

He served with Co. G, 9th Regt. Ga. Militia, 4th Brigade.

He died in Marion County, Ga. on 11-13-1882.
